Donate Used Books
Do you have gently used books to donate to the Friends? We hold our Drive-up Donation Events every Saturday (except during inclement weather or on holidays).
Volunteers will be available to accept your donations on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Friends Headquarters – 8279 Melrose Dr., Lenexa, KS 66214.
There are many ways to give: your time, your materials for book sales, a financial contribution – even a used car!
The Friends sell your used books so the Library can buy new ones!

Financial Gifts to the Library
Would you like to make a financial contribution? We are a 501(c)3 and happily provide tax receipts to our donors.
We accept financial gifts online, via mail, or in-person at our used book sales.

Donate your Car!
Selling your unused car is good – but donating it to Friends of Johnson County Library is great! It could mean hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars in support of library programs, collection, and initiatives.
Our vehicle donation program provides free pick-up and supports you through the entire donation process. Running or not, donations like cars, trucks, boats – and everything in between – have great potential to keep Johnson County Library’s programs running.
