Become a Library Volunteer!

Volunteering at Johnson County Library is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful local organization. We welcome anyone who shares our passion for libraries and community enrichment to get involved. Whether you can volunteer your time, donate books, give a financial gift, or support our fundraising events, your contributions make a meaningful difference.

Johnson County Library is more than just a place to check out books; it’s a hub that offers a wide range of services, programs, and resources to enrich the lives of its residents. Volunteers play a pivotal role in ensuring that these services are accessible to all, helping to maintain the library as a strong community asset.

Last year, Friends volunteers gave more than 18,000 hours in service to their community – and processed an estimated 600,000 donated and ex-library items.
